Your Smile

Dear Clara,
We had our first outing today.  We went to Jiffy Lube where we got the car inspected, we went to target, and then we went to Barnes and Noble with Sarah.  There I fed you in the children's section (with a privacy cover) and you ate like a Champ!!

Tomorrow is your Doctor's appointment where we will get to see if all of this work, getting you fed every two hours, has paid off.  Dr. Galla is your doctor and we like her a lot.  I am excited to see what she has to say about you.

I thank God for you every day, Clara Jane.  I wish I could explain to you in enough words how blessed I feel that you are a healthy little girl.  Even when you keep us up all night, I am still never in question that you are a gift that God has given us.  I pray that God will be pleased with the way we parent you.

My favorite things about you is your smile and how you look at me when I sing to you.  Your favorite song seems to be "You Are My Sunshine" right now.  You look at me every time I sing to you and it lets me know that you heard all of the times I sang to you while you were in my tummy.
