10 Months Old

Mrs. Ma'am,

Tonight was a very emotional night. I took the six and nine month sized clothes out of your drawer and replaced them twelve and eighteen month sized clothes. You are getting far too big to quickly. Well, you never get "fat." You have always been long and thin.

You have little creases in your thighs that get more apparent right before you grow longer and they go away. It sounds like a silly detail, but these are things I hope you appreciate when you are old enough to ask me what you were like when you were a baby and I have long forgotten. You are the happiest baby. When you were younger you would holler for hours at a time. Now, you are just the happiest, most outgoing, kid. You are so easy to love.

So, it was really funny to watch you throw your first tantrum. You were so mad and you were crying and sitting on the floor, then you laid down. I don't even remember what  you were mad about. But when I tried to snuggle you so you would feel better, you wanted no part of it. Finally, I laughed at you because your cuteness was hilarious. Needless to say, you were very confused by my laughter.

This month your facial expressions have become more and more hilarious.  You make this troll face where you scrunch up your nose and stick out your lips. You wave hello, good bye and night night to everyone.

You have a bunch of words: Mom. Dada. Hey. Bye. Cat. Dog. Oh. Ball. (Ba)nana. Duck. ...and you make this cute "bwee bwee bwee" sound.

You have finally figured out how to turn around and go feet first off of things. You crawl super fast and cruise around on the furniture. You have finally started to stand for a few seconds unassisted. I don't think you have any interest in walking for a little while. You get whatever you want by crawling and pulling up.

You pretty much eat anything. You love bananas, chicken, french fries, and pretty much whatever mommy and daddy are eating. If we are eating it, you need it.

You have been doing better and better at sleeping through the night as well. The other night, you slept 10 hours all by yourself in your crib.

Lastly, you have your top two teeth in complete with the Pendergraft, most adorably, gap. This totals your teeth count at four.

Mommy loves you so much.
