Six Weeks = 1.5 Months

My Clara Jane,

I cant believe you are already a month an a half. At your one month check up your Mimi came with you.  I couldn't believe how you have grown a whole inch and you were 10 lbs 11 oz. Dr. Galla said that you are a pro at feeding. That makes mommy feel like she is doing her job.  Daddy and I are starting to get your cries figured out so we have an idea of what you want and need. Your smile is brighter everyday. God truly has blessed us. Your coo has gotten stronger this week. One day you looked at me and cooed, what seemed like, an entire sentence. It was so awesome to hear your baby words. It felt like you were trying to tell us something.  A few days later you talked to daddy. You and your daddy are bonding more everyday. When you were at your most fussy point, he was convinced you didn't like him and now he is starting to realize that evenings are your most challenging part of the day because you are tired.

An exciting part of this week is you got to be babysat by your Aunt Liz - - your Godmother - - and behaved yourself for her.  She loved every moment she got to babysit for you.  I am glad she could. Mommy advocates for kids in court as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer and mommy had to go to court of two little boys who are two and four.  My job is to help them be able to be adopted because their parents cant take care of them so they can have a mommy and daddy who loves them like you do. I cant wait to teach you about loving others and being compassionate for the people who go without.
